Three generations of Bollywood divas wear Roger Dubuis

When three Bollywood divas hit the stage together they generally bring down the house! That was precisely what happened when three of the Hindi film industry’s most sought after superstars were pictured wearing exclusive Roger Dubuis timepieces at a photoshoot to celebrate International Women’s Day and the 10th Anniversary of Harper’s Bazaar India, recently.

Sizzling on the cover of the magazine that is revered in the rarefied world of high fashion, was Madhuri Dixit, Sonakshi Sinha and Alia Bhatt – three of the most bankable superstars that rule the multi-million dollar world that is Hindi cinema today.

Three superstars, all of whom can bring traffic to a screeching halt in any Indian metro, pack out theatres for weeks. and who represent three different generations of female superstardom, came together with their love for Roger Dubuis’ avant garde and iconic haute horological style.

All of them sported exclusive and exquisite Roger Dubuis timepieces while posing for a series of high octane shots that will grace the cover and inside pages of India’s  foremost high fashion magazine.

The shoot also celebrated the release of the film Kalank, which features all three actresses in prominent roles. The watches that sat pretty on the actresses’ wrists were from Roger Dubuis iconic Excalibur and Velvet ranges.

Madhuri Dixit, is a legend in Indian cinema known for her acting and dancing roles in many superhit films of the 1980s and 199os. She is the recipient of numerous honours,  including six Filmfare Awards. She has been nominated for the Filmfare Award for Best Actress a record fourteen times, and along with Raakhee and Rani Mukherji,, is the most nominated actress in the acting categories, with 16 nominations. In 2008, the Indian Government awarded her with the Padma Shri,  the fourth highest civilian honour of the country.

Sonakshi Sinha, the daughter of actors Shatrughun Sinha and Poonam Sinha,made her acting debut in the action-drama film Dabangg (2010) opposite Salman Khan, which won her the Filmfare Award for best debutant female.

Alia Bhatt  is one of the highest-paid contemporary actresses in India. Born into the Bhatt family, she is the daughter of filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt and actress Soni Razdan. After making her acting debut as a child in the 1999 thriller Sangharsh,  Bhatt played her first leading role in Karan Johar’s  teen drama Student of the Year (2012). She went on to collaborate with Johar’s studio in a majority of her subsequent releases, including the romances 2 States (2014), Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya (2014), and Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya (2017); the drama Kapoor & Sons (2016); and the coming-of-age film Dear Zindagi (2016).
