Katy Perry obsesses over all things Indian in a video on FilterCopy with Viraj Ghelani
New mom to a baby girl, Katy Perry opened up in a freewheeling conversation with FilterCopy and Viraj Ghelani prior to her delivery about how pregnancy changed her and made her obsessed with an air conditioner to stay cool.
Over the course of the conversation, she also revealed that her dog, ‘Nugget’, is one of her reasons to smile, jokingly admitting that she takes after her mother.
Talking about her latest album ‘Smile’, Katy Perry reveals that her new music is all about bringing hope, joy, and a sense of resilience to listeners during unprecedented times. She also added that when she couldn’t find her reason to smile, music and the anticipation of the birth of her daughter gave her plenty of reasons to be happy again.
As the candid tête-à-tête drew to an end, Viraj, used an iconic line from the mega-hit movie ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ much to the amusement of Perry. Repeating after him, Katy Perry said, “Tussi Ja Rahe Ho, Tussi Na Jao” as she learned the meaning of the dialogue, amidst her obsession with all things Indian, especially the food.
Indian fans also have something to look forward to, post the pandemic, as she teased her imminent arrival to India, along with her +1.
