Vidya Malavade Opens up about her experience working in the series ‘Dr.Arora’

The eight-episode SonyLIV series ‘Dr. Arora’ created by Imtiaz Ali, is a story based on a sex doctor who helps his patients overcome a string of bedroom problems. Vidya Malavade plays the role of the Doctor’s ex-wife who’s story comes to life in the series ,due to whom Dr. Arora is promoted to take up his profession.

With 2 beautiful love songs MEHRAM & KHALIPAN ,the actors portrayal of Vaishali Is already winning many praises ..
When Vidya read the script , the first thing that glared at her was – the Khalipan, the melancholy of this character!
But also Vaishali felt like an onion .. there were so many layers to peel with her complexities & fragility, she says ..
The courage of youth ,to actually be able to , leave a husband.. the dignity of her silence about his inabilities & the years of self judgement – (she’s already labelled herself slut in her head ), & ofcourse the guilt (which as women we all are champions of ) & the shame & self worth issues ..

Vidya Malavade as Vaishali is just stunning. As soon as Vidya appears in the series, you will not even be able to recognize her. She’s comes like a storm & stays that way throughout .. , Vidya & kumud pretty much manage to create magic with their intimacy scene ..

I think the character is just beautiful , because she is like a simmering volcano ,all throughout the series , where she holds a mountain of feelings and emotions, inside her, but manages to keep her exterior calm..
She brings her A game to the table ,with her portrayal of Vaishali, & is flawless as she delicately balances many such conflicts of her character ..
