Actor Umesh Ghadge is overwhelmed with the response to his role as Raghav Singh Rajput in Advocate Anjali Awasthi!

Actor Umesh Ghadge recently opened up about his role in the Star Plus’s TV show Advocate Anjali Awasthi (AAA), calling the project special to him. Ghadge, known for his work in Made in Heaven, Scam, Breathe, and Ghum Hai Kisi Ke Pyar Mein, shared that he was approached for the role of Advocate Raghav Singh Rajput while he was still shooting for Ghum Hai Kisi Ke Pyar Mein. The audition process was swift, and he was finalized for the role immediately.

Reflecting on his distinctive salt-and-pepper look, Ghadge revealed that it was a result of the pandemic. He stopped dyeing his beard during lockdown, which led to his selection for the role of Radhika Apte’s father in Made in Heaven season 2. This look has now become his signature, and casting teams specifically seek him for roles with it.

He is currently filming in Kolkata for Advocate Anjali Awasthi and is enjoying the experience. He praised the Bengali crew and expressed his love for the local food, especially given his “sweet tooth.” Describing his character Raghav Singh Rajput, he said, “He is ruthless, arrogant, and always wants to win. He’s never lost a case in his career and is feared by his family  given his strong headed attitude. Although he has often been cast in serious or negative roles, he hopes to explore comedic or lighter characters in the future. Drawing on his theater background, he feels confident in his ability to handle any type of role.

Advocate Anjali Awasthi has received a great response, with strong TRP ratings and ranking among the top five TV shows. The show has been loved by masses and classes. Umesh remains humble about the success, noting that while both success and failure are temporary, failure teaches valuable lessons for future success. Well the show is on the way of becoming a game changer in the TV industry and the show with the backdrop of life of a lawyer has generated a lot of interest among the TV audiences.
