AIC-PIF based startups develops Urja pod for auto sanitization of corona warriors
Indore: EV Energy and Cargo Pod, two Indore based startups working at Atal Incubation Center, Prestige Inspire Foundation funded by the NITI Aayog at Prestige College here have developed a walk through sanitization tunnel christened as Urjapod from used and waste material to sanitize corona warriors, health workers, IMC and district administration employees and prevent them from corona infection.
Seeing the usefulness of this sanitization pod, Indore Municipal Corporation has installed it in the Health Department near Palika Plaza in the city. According to Deputy Commissioner of Municipal Corporation, Rohan Saxena, a person can be sanitized from this pod in less than 20 seconds through spray Sodium Hypochlorite solution.
He said that this sanitization pod will be set up at other government offices phase wise. Sanyog Tiwari, CEO of EV Urja, said that this prototype sanitization pod has been manufactured in the least time possible with waste materials. People passing through this Urjapod will get sanitized by automatic spray sodium Hypochlorite solution, he said. .
Dr. Ranjana Patel, Manager, Atal Incubation Center- Prestige Inspire Foundation, said that Prestige Group provided a financial assistance of Rs 15,000 in the development of this sanitization pod.
She said this sanitization pod would prove to be very effective in terms of protection of Corona Warriors from the vicious virus of Corona. Many such sanitization pods would be set up in different parts of the city soon with the help of Indore Municipal Corporation, she said.
