COLORS invites viewers to board the express of unstoppable jazbaa with its new inspirational drama ‘Khubsurrat’
Attention everyone! COLORS is signalling the arrival of ‘Khubsurrat’, a heart-warming tale that promises to take viewers on an inspirational journey through the gritty tracks of Mumbai’s spirit. The channel is all set to welcome the audiences to board this saga of dreams that will have them rooting for an ordinary girl, Navya whose jeet ka jazbaa (passion) is as unstoppable as the pulse of the city she belongs to. Residing in a chawl, Navya stands tall with aspirations as high as the city’s skyscrapers, wanting to make it big despite her father’s rejection for being the only dark-skinned one in the family.
Undeterred by the jibes that people around her make about her skin colour, Navya refuses to hit the brakes on her aspirations, while also running her household. Whether she’s waiting tables, serenading wedding processions with her clarinet or delivering food, nothing can derail her from navigating life with her sunshine energy. With the challenges of societal norms towering above her, will her jazbaa arrive at the station of success?
Talking about essaying the role of Navya, Yesha Harsora says, “Khubsurrat marks my first project with COLORS, and I pray that it sets an incredible tone for our association. Stepping aboard this show is my way of encouraging the viewers to follow their dreams even if people disregard their potential. My character’s relentless spirit mirrors the very essence of Mumbai’s ‘never say die’ attitude. If there’s one thing this city teaches you, it’s that dreams have no limits, and jazbaa (passion) is the antidote to self-doubt, keeping the engines of ambition chugging. I hope Navya’s journey in this inspirational drama sparks a fire within every dreamer’s heart.”
