I.I.M.U.N. Indore 2026 Kicks Off April 17: Youth Debate Global Crises
Indore: To encourage leadership, dialogue, and global awareness among young people, I.I.M.U.N. Indore 2026 will be hosted by The Millennium School, Indore, from 17 to 19 April 2026. The three-day conference will provide students with an opportunity to engage in Model United Nations simulations and deliberate on national and international issues while exploring the concept of “Glocal Citizenship” (Global + Local Citizenship).
The conference will officially begin on 17 April 2026 at 4:00 PM with the Opening Ceremony. On 18 April, the day will commence with a Yoga session, followed by committee discussions. Committee sessions will continue on 19 April, concluding with the Closing Ceremony at 4:00 PM.
During the conference, participants will deliberate on several contemporary issues through various committees. The MPLA Committee will discuss crop diversification, irrigation expansion, and farmer loan relief. The NITI AAYOG Committee will focus on promoting the development of indigenous technologies. The Ministry of Women and Child Development Committee will deliberate on strengthening women’s safety in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities. The PMSS Committee will discuss a framework for strengthening India’s aviation sector, while the HCC Committee will examine the Bhopal Gas Tragedy.
Additionally, the WHO Committee will address health security and health system resilience in the Global South. The ECOSOC Committee will deliberate on resolving sovereign debt crises and promoting sustainable financing for global development. The UNICEF Committee will focus on protecting children from cyberbullying on social media and gaming platforms. The UNGA Committee will review the Geneva Convention in the context of geopolitical crises and their global implications.
The conference will also feature special forums such as the Influencer Summit, which will discuss global community guidelines related to cyberbullying, content moderation, and copyright. The ICIJ Committee will focus on investigative journalism and media reporting, while the IPL Committee will deliberate on the IPL Mega Auction 2026.
