NIFD Global Indore Students Ready for Central India’s Largest Fashion Show

Fashion Week to be held on September 27, 28, and 29… A platform showcasing global cultures and future trends.

Alumni and renowned designers to present collections alongside current students.

Indore, September 25, 2024. After achieving remarkable success, NIFD Global Indore is all set to host Central India’s largest fashion show from September 27 to 29, 2024. The three-day NIFD Global Indore Times Fashion Week 2024 will be held at the Grand Sheraton Hotel. The students are in the final stages of preparation for their exclusive NIFD Global round, which will dominate the first day of the event.

This year, NIFD Global Indore’s fashion design students have worked on collections inspired by a variety of cultures, from across India to international influences, including a retro theme. More than 90 students have been diligently working day and night alongside their mentors, department heads, and faculty over the past month to create garments for the show. The first day will feature the NIFD Global students’ collections on the runway, and the fashion design workshops at NIFD Global Indore are buzzing with activity from morning until late evening. Garments will be showcased under four distinct themes this year: “Blooming India,” “Global Canvas,” “World of Fantasy,” and “Into the Future.”

Sonika Bhagat, HOD of Fashion Design at NIFD Global Indore, shared that under the guidance of mentor Saurabh Kant Srivastava, students have been working tirelessly for the past month, bringing their creative ideas to life. Additionally, 60 students will serve as backstage volunteers to ensure smooth operations during the show.

Blooming India:
This fusion-themed round will display garments inspired by the diverse cultures of India. The Rock & Roll theme will focus on Indian Bollywood influences, while the Folk theme will explore magical and mythical cultures.

Global Canvas:
The Retro theme will showcase fashion trends from around the world. The Art Gallery theme will feature garments inspired by globally renowned art pieces, while the Victorian Era theme will display timeless fashion from that period.

World of Fantasy:
This round will focus on the universe and the stars, featuring neon-colored garments and shiny fabrics, bringing an element of fantasy to the runway.

Into the Future:
This theme will highlight sustainable fashion with garments made from recycled materials, as well as cutting-edge digital prints, offering a glimpse into the future of fashion.

Sadhana Todi, Chairperson of NIFD Global Indore, expressed that the students have been preparing rigorously for the past month. The first day will be dedicated entirely to NIFD Global students. The second and third days will feature collections from renowned and celebrity designers, further broadening the scope of the event.
