OYO empowering passionate asset owners in Indore to develop their entrepreneurial spirit

Indore: Rohit Sood wholeheartedly agrees that joining the hospitality business was the most ideal career path for him. A B.Com graduate Rohit always had a vision of entering the hospitality sector and making a name for himself.

Earlier his family business dealt with farming and purchasing fertilizers after which he along with his father transitioned into the hospitality sector and dedicated their time to their Hotel Capital O 16115 Hotel Solitare located in Vijaynagar. One of the sought after properties in the main city his hotel is consistently flooded with guests owing to the positive reviews online.

A man who believes in detailing and ensuring guests leave his property with a memorable experience, Rohit pushed himself and his team to establish a “game plan” on major issues such as quality, staffing, and aura of his property.

On his association with OYO, Rohit says, “We had the plot in the main city which has been with us for 35 years. While the construction phase was going on we got to know about OYO and what it had to offer.

OYO clearly being the market leader had created a big name in the hospitality industry and we were confident to choose them for our hotel. We were on the lookout of good marketing and a team that could help us put on the map of offering good hospitality experiences.”

He further adds, “In MP and Chhatisgarh, our hotel has been consistently securing ratings between 4.8 and 4.9 overall. I have shifted my whole business to this hotel hence I am here for 5 days a week. We are committed to the idea of hospitality and we leave no stone unturned as we strive to fulfill the expectations of our guests.

We are happy and privileged to have a 100% corporate clientele who chose to stay with us from time to time. The key differentiating factors of our hotel are its hygiene, cleanliness, fast Wifi, music in the lobby, linen, premium bathroom products etc. We have a buffet breakfast along with an inhouse restaurant having an Ala Carte menu which has an inexhaustive list of dishes.

We also have a bakery at Hotel Solitare where we have premium dessert items for consumption. We are also in the process of opening a new project which will be working wit OYO itself. We have active plans for increasing the number of hotels and contribute in our own way to the hospitality landscape in Indore. ”

Grabbing the title of the cleanest city in India for the last 3 consecutive years, Indore has been staying true to this achievement. It has evolved into a major hub for doing business and is rightly referred to as the financial capital of Madhya Pradesh. The tourism industry in Indore has been thriving owing to the numerous spots of cultural and religious importance.

Utilizing the potential of curating unique experiences for tourists, OYO Hotels & Homes, South Asia’s largest, China’s second-largest, the world’s third-largest, and fastest-growing chain of hotels, homes, managed living, and workspaces has been empowering asset owners like Rohit Sood across the country.

OYO Hotels & Homes has been creating a significant impact in terms of offering great customer experience and creating micro-entrepreneurs in Indore. Leveraging its innovative technology, OYO has struck a chord instantly with customers, especially the millennials in the city and there has been no stopping since then.

Besides this, the company also launched OYO Partner Engagement Network (OPEN) – a year-long initiative with 6 core promises for 10000+ asset owners in India (only for India). It further introduced an upgraded Co-OYO app for asset owners that provides complete visibility on all business & customer metrics. The app helps to enhance the quality of standalone hotels and improves occupancy from 25% to 65% on an average, increasing the yield on underutilized assets for asset owners.

Further to the above OYO also sanctions financial support for overhauling the property, while extending additional support like equipping the hotel with LED televisions, AC, Wi-Fi, CCTV, Dish TV, quality linen, etc. This will also allow creating thousands of jobs in Tier II and III cities by nurturing micro-entrepreneurs in the hospitality sector thus leading to their economic growth.
