Raviraa Bhardwaj on Coldplay’s Music of the Spheres Tour Frenzy

As Coldplay’s Music of the Spheres World Tour gears up to arrive in India in 2025, the excitement is palpable. Actress Raviraa Bhardwaj who is currently part of Fresh Mint’s popular web series Aukaat Se Zyaada says the frenzy over tickets has triggered mixed emotions. With millions of fans scrambling to secure their spot, she reflects on the joy of being part of Coldplay’s first-ever concert in India back in November 2016.

“While I completely understand the excitement around Coldplay’s return, the madness with fans fighting for tickets has been overwhelming,” Raviraa shares. “It’s both joyful and heartbreaking to see so many die-hard fans struggle to secure their place at the concert.”

Surprisingly, Raviraa hasn’t tried to snag tickets for the 2025 tour. “I already had the privilege of attending their 2016 concert in Mumbai. That was a moment I’ll never forget,” she says, smiling. The 2016 concert, a star-studded affair featuring Shah Rukh Khan, A.R. Rahman, Amitabh Bachchan, and Jay-Z, even included a special online speech from Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Coldplay also sold 25,000 tickets for free, a gesture that, to Raviraa, made the event feel truly special. “There was something so genuine about that experience,” she recalls. “It felt like real Coldplay fans were in attendance. Nowadays, it seems like a lot of people are after tickets just to look cool, rather than for their love of the band. Nothing compares to the purity of that 2016 concert.”

As she watches the excitement unfold for Coldplay’s next Indian stop, Raviraa cherishes her memories of that magical night in Mumbai, knowing that she was part of a truly one-of-a-kind moment.
