There Are Many Layers in Her Personality Which You Will Get to Know Later” – Mansi Bhanushali on Playing Bhoomi in Suman Indori
Mansi Bhanushali is stepping into the spotlight with her new role as Bhoomi in the television show Suman Indori, produced by Prateek Sharma and Parth Shah under Studio LSD. Mansi gives us insight into her character, her experience on set, and the deep connections she feels with the storyline. Here’s what Mansi had to say:
Mansi Bhanushali portrays Bhoomi, a character with layers of ambition, family loyalty, and compassion. Speaking about her role, she shares, “My character’s name is Bhoomi and I am playing the character of Suman’s sister. Bhoomi wants to become a lawyer and help her sister and be her support.” She finds a personal connection to Bhoomi, especially in her dedication to her family. “I feel Bhoomi is a simple & ambitious girl who wants to help her family and that’s the reason sometimes I empathise with the character,” she says. However, there’s more beneath Bhoomi’s calm demeanor, as Mansi hints: “There are many layers in her personality which you will get to know later.” This suggests that Bhoomi is much more than just Suman’s supportive sister—viewers can expect surprises as her story unfolds.
Bhoomi marks Mansi’s debut collaboration with Studio LSD, and the experience so far has been rewarding. “This is my first show with Studio LSD. I met Prateek sir for the first time in the narration meeting. It’s been a few days since we’re shooting & I am really enjoying working in this production,” she explains.
The initial episodes of Suman Indori were filmed in Indore, and Mansi had a blast experiencing the local culture alongside her fellow cast members. “We shot the initial episodes of Suman Indori in Indore, our entire cast went to Indore. We also ate chappan ki chaat there and enjoyed it very much,” she fondly recalls. The set of Suman Indori seems to be full of energy and warmth, as Mansi reveals a lighthearted detail. “We do play games in between shots & the entire cast is really good, it feels really great to work with such experienced actors!”
Mansi reflects on the importance of stepping out of one’s comfort zone as an actor. “It’s crucial for an actor to step outside their comfort zone to fully inhabit a character. This leads to more authentic performances, as it challenges the actor to explore new emotional depths and perspectives.”
At its core, Suman Indori explores themes that are deeply relatable to its audience, particularly young women navigating challenging responsibilities. Mansi speaks on this cultural relevance, saying, “Personally I feel, many girls take full responsibility of their household at a very young age like Suman did! So the audience will definitely connect with the show because of the cultural relevance & relatable characters,” she concludes.
