Mythological roles interest me more: Charu Asopa

Vikram Betaal Ki Rahasya Gatha has caught the audience’s attention exceptionally well with its fantasy fiction genre of content. The show has been showcasing different mythological stories with interesting twists and turns through King Vikramaditya and Betaal that has resulted in the audience wanting to watch more of it. 

Taking the mythological route, Vikram Betaal Ki RahasyaGaatha is set to narrate the story of the vivacious and grey shaded Nayantara. Playing the character of Nayantara is CharuAsopa, who has made a mark in the industry with roles that are distinct from one another.

Talking about Nayantara, Charu shares, “Nayantara who is very positive in her outlook gets cursed by Barhmadev because of which she turns extremelyarrogant and negative towards every situation.

I believe, negative characters give artists great room to experiment with their acting skills while playing them. With Nayantara, audiences will get to see a completely different me altogether on the screen in Vikram Betaal Ki Rahasya Gaatha.”

The actress who has an extremely impressive body of work has played roles not just in the drama-fiction category but has also extensively experimented with mythology and fantasy genres.

Sharing her insights the talented actress says, “I love being a part of mythological shows, they have larger than life sets and give the audiences a peak into the history through artists. I personally love the language that is used in such shows as it is pure Hindi and to narrate dialogues in a languageso strong and clear is really interesting.”

On choosing her roles on television Charu says, “I am an intuitive person and if I feel that I will be able to pull off a certain character, I take it up immediately and try to put my best foot forward.”The actress who has majorly worked on television wishes to be a part of a web series in the future.

Sharing her wish, she says, “I am looking forward to be a part of a web series as they produce content that you generally don’t get to see on television. Web series give an artist a chance to come out of their comfort zone and try different roles and play different characters.”

The story will see Nayantara who is one of the 32 putlis, who is also the goddess of Justice. She has come to Ujjaini palace in search of Betaal. Nayantara tries to create misunderstandings between King Vikram and Rani Padmini by using a concoction on them that leads to them moving away from each other.

In the process, she conspires against Vikram and makes him do injustice towards his own people. Upon seeing this behaviour of Vikram, Betaal leaves the palace only to be followed by Nayantara. Nayantara who finds him and tries to explain him her actions but Betaal pays no heed to hr and manages to escape. Later, Goddess Nayantara will be show fighting with Vikramaditya in the Ujjaini palace.
