Bijay Anand talks about his incredible high-octane action stunt in Vidyut Jammwal starrer ‘Crakk’, reveals the scary experience of dangling mid-air at 40000 ft
Given the fact that Bijay Anand is someone who’s loved and recognised immensely for his fitness and discipline towards a healthy lifestyle, you might have expected that he would have had it easy alongside Vidyut Jammwal in Crakk. However, that’s far from the truth. When the overall standards of excellence rise high and people push beyond regular limits, even the best individuals out there feel the heat and Bijay is no different in this case.
Being a Vidyut Jammwal movie, you naturally expect all the actors to pack a punch and make people go awe with their breathtaking moves and flexibility. However, it’s easier said than done. Bijay might have pulled off some sensational stunts in the project which we will witness on the big screen very soon, the process to execute that was very difficult. So, what was the preparation like? What was the mindset needed to crack the deal? Let’s hear it straight from the horse’s mouth. When Bijay was asked to reveal his experience, he shared and we quote,
“As you all have already seen in the promo and stuff, Crakk is all about action, superlative stunts and mind-boggling action sequences. As far as I am concerned, when I started shooting for action sequences, it was my first day in Poland. My first shot was 40,000 feet above in the air in a hot-air balloon and I had to literally dangle out of it just with the help of a harness. It was undoubtedly one of the scariest moments of my life.
In fact, that was the time I realized that what you see in shows like Khatron Ke Khiladi, what they go through and why they go through is so difficult and definitely not funny. You know you have a harness. However you aren’t mentally used to that kind of trust. Dangling in mid-air at that kind of height with the help of just a rope, it was extremely scary for me. I must say that when I went to sleep at night, it almost felt like I got a new life altogether. It was something I laughed about later but when it was happening to me, it wasn’t funny by any means.
This has to be one of the most incredible memories of mine from this high-octane action movie. The stunt director is absolutely wonderful and what they have managed to create with Vidyut Jammwal is phenomenal. Vidyut too has been absolutely prolific and what he has done, I don’t think anyone in the past has managed to do in the past in Indian movies. I am extremely excited for this and I genuinely can’t wait for it to be released on the big screen on 23rd February.”
Well, all we can say is that fortune favours the brave and given the kind of spirit and approach that Bijay Anand has shown towards his work in the movie, he certainly deserves all the attention coming towards him for this. Here’s wishing him good luck and success for everything that he does going forward in the future. Stay tuned for more updates.
