IIM Indore’s First Executive Education Diploma Batch Graduates

24 participants receive their diploma certificates in management and artificial intelligence

IIM Indore, renowned for its contextual relevance and commitment to pioneering education, has once again demonstrated its forward-thinking approach with the successful completion of the Executive Post Graduate Diploma Programme in Management and Artificial Intelligence (Batch – 01). On January 30, 2024, IIM Indore’s Director, Prof. Himanshu Rai, presented the graduates with their well-deserved certificates, symbolizing their dedication and achievement. The valedictory function, graced by the presence of Chair – ExecutiveEducation, Prof. SubinSudhir, and Prof. PritamRanjan, Programme Coordinator, celebrated not only the accomplishments of the graduates but also the pioneering spirit driving this innovative programme forward.This marks a historic milestone as the institute unveils our first-ever Executive Education Diploma, blending management and AI expertise.A total of 24 participants have received their diploma certificates on this occasion.

In his valedictory address, Prof. Rai painted a compelling picture of India’s trajectory towards becoming the world’s second-largest economy by 2047, coupled with its ascent as a global leader in artificial intelligence, particularly within the realm of healthcare. Emphasizing the transformative power of AI, he dispelled fears of job displacement, asserting instead that those equipped with AI knowledge will supersede those who lack it. With this reassurance, he urged the inaugural batch to plunge into a vast ocean of opportunities that lay before them. Encouraging a mindset aligned with the acronym OCEAN, he spoke about Openness to learning, adapting, Conscientiousness and discipline in navigating the complexities, being passionate about Excellence in all endeavors, being Accountable by leveraging privilege to uplift the underprivileged, and Never giving up. ‘Embody compassion in your actions. Maintain resilience and determination, for setbacks are inevitable but should never deter one’s pursuit of success, he said.

Prof. SubinSudhir mentioned that when we envisioned our foray into this domain, we envisioned a diploma programme that seamlessly integrates management principles with AI, aligning with our ethos of contextual relevance. ‘This programme will empower graduates to navigate the evolving landscape of business with confidence’, he said.
Prof. Ranjan said that this programme marks a significant milestone as the first of its kind, blending management expertise with cutting-edge artificial intelligence insights.

The inaugural batch of students embarked on a transformative journey spanning fifteen months, culminating in their graduation ceremony. Complementing the ongoing collaboration with IIT Indore for the Master of Science in Data Science and Management, this second programme heralds a new era of executive education.
