Indore welcomes Anuja Sathe from COLORS’ KhoobLadi Mardaani Jhansi Ki Rani

Indore. COLORS’ KhoobLadi Mardaani Jhansi Ki Rani, chronicles the untold story of a fearless warrior Manikarnika, who not just fought societal stereotypes and British regime but also battled multiple conflicts within herfamily.

The show gives you a perspective into these numerous unknown events and tales from the life of the iconic Rani Lakshmibai of Jhansi.  Produced by Contiloe Pictures and featuring Anushka Sen as Manikarnika along with VikkasManaktala (Gangadhar Rao), Anuja Sathe (Janki), Rajesh Shringarpure (Moropant), Vijay Kashyap (Bajirao), Jason Shah (Ross) in pivotal roles, Dabur Red Tooth Paste presents ‘KhoobLadiMardani – Jhansi Ki Rani’which airsevery Monday to Friday at 9:30 PM on COLORS.

The story progresses to highlight Manikarnika’s biggest challenge, which has been to convert her own husband, Gangadhar, who has been a pro Britisher which will help her win the fight against them. As she struggles to be both a Queen and a wife, Manikarnika’sintentions doesn’t go down well with Janki, who aims to take the throne from Gangadhar.

In the upcoming episode, as everyone prepares for the wedding of Manikarnika and Gangadhar, Manikarnika continues her battle against the Britishers. While Janki constantly keeps an eye over Manikarnikaand tries to distract her from her goal by asking her to prepare for the wedding. Despite all odds, Janki fails to keep Gangadhar away from Manikarnika and both go ahead and get married.

To reveal interesting facts about her character and give the viewers a glimpse of the upcoming storyline, Anuja Sathe (Janki) visited Indore today. She also took the opportunity to thank her fans for the immense love, they have been showering.

Commenting on the character Anuja Sathe said,“Our show KhoobLadi Mardaani Jhansi Ki Raniaims to portray an emotional yet inspiring journey of a girl, Manikarnika. I am portraying the character of Janki in the show, while everyone sees her as a loyal to the King, she has dubious intentions of ruling over Jhansi and finds Manikarnika as a hindrance because of her righteous nature.

The character has multiple layers to it, which makes it more challenging but has also helped me sharpen my skill set. The journey has been amazing till now, I am delighted to be here in Indore to thank everyone for supporting and loving our show.
