Tanuj Virwani’s impactful roles in the Indian entertainment industry
They say that “Don’t watch the clock. Do what it does. Keep going.”. This famous line by the maverick Sam Levenson is quite relevant in today’s time for human beings. While quitting is always the easy choice when things aren’t hunky-dory, the real success stories come out of only those individuals who battle against all odds to sail their ship through every thick and thin. As far as the Indian entertainment industry is concerned, Tanuj Virwani is one actor who’s a classic example. He is a hustler for real and the personality trait is quite visible in the kind of decisions that he’s taken in life.
Despite having a film background in the industry, he has never used that as a go-to opportunity to have things easy. Instead, he decided to start from the scratches by actually learning the entire process the hard way. From doing his bit to hone his craft as an actor to being there on the floors himself as an Assistant Director first before eventually becoming an actor, Tanuj Virwani is someone who’s synonymous to the success story of every successful individual from the film industry who didn’t have any background in the fraternity. But what makes his case unique and special is that despite having that luxury and comfort zone, he chose to hustle and challenge his inner ability.
Well, this constant urge to challenge himself wasn’t really just a case before he became an actor but also after it. At a time when many actors look forward to sticking to one niche and zone after achieving groundbreaking success in the same, Tanuj was always that rare ‘sweet water’ river that would constantly keep flowing without staying stagnant. As an actor, he always says and believes that the best part about being an actor is that one gets to play different lives on-screen.
So what’s the fun if one keeps repeating the same kind of characters on-screen? Well, his actions truly justify his words and that’s evident from the kind of roles he’s selected. If one takes a close look at the majority of his projects so far and what he’s attempted, literally every project is different from each other in terms of story, character, theme and narrative. Who says “Jack Of All Trades Can’t Be A Master Of All?”. Some of his best projects so far are Luv U Soniyo, Purani Jeans, One Night Stand, Inside Edge, Code M, Cartel, Abhay, Tandoor, Bajao, Poison, Illegal – Justice Out Of Order, Kamathipura & many more. If one takes a close look at this list, one fact is very clear and that is Tanuj lives by what he says and believes in.
Every project is poles apart from each other and that’s the most wonderful thing about him as an actor in terms of him forming his cult and niche audience. As a performing artiste, he’s broken so many stereotypes over the years. Things like a good guy can’t play a baddie on-screen or one has to stick to his strength always to ensure success and many more.
Today, Tanuj is receiving incredible love for his role in Yodha as the head of the task force. Well, no brownie points for guessing that even this role is something he’s never done before. All thanks to him breaking stereotypes and showcasing his versatility, today the audience believes that everytime Tanuj comes on-screen, he will definitely bring a new flavour and something different from what he’s done in the past. As an actor who’s supposed to be an expert in camouflaging, that’s the biggest reward one can have and no wonder Tanuj is certainly heading in the right direction. Here’s hoping and wishing that he continues to hustle this way and keep slaying like this because he’s truly incredible at what he does best and that is ‘good acting’. Stay tuned for more updates.
