These platforms encourage actors to explore different kinds of roles: Anupama Solanki
Anupama Solanki, who was last seen in the show Kuch Reet Jagat Ki Aisi Hai, feels the rise of OTT platforms has created a big change in the acting world. She said that the availability of diverse roles on OTT platforms is definitely a good thing for actors.
She said, “Even though I haven’t worked on OTT yet, I see many actors getting new opportunities and playing interesting roles. This shift is exciting because it means more different stories and characters are being told. I notice that these platforms encourage actors to explore different kinds of roles. This inspires me to think about the types of characters I want to play in the future.”
She also stressed that OTT platforms offer more creative freedom to actors and creators to tell stories without many limits. “This can lead to more interesting and unique content. I admire how this helps actors show their talent in different ways, even if I haven’t experienced it myself,” she said.
Anupama also pointed out that with the continued growth of OTT platforms, she can see the future of acting changing. “There will be more opportunities for new talent and different stories. With many new projects coming out every week, not all of them will succeed, but that’s okay. It means we have to keep improving and focusing on making great content,” she said.
What about bold content? “OTT projects include bold content, but it has become quite normal for audiences. While it reflects changes in society, I think it’s important for these stories to be meaningful. Bold content should serve a purpose in the story and not just be there for shock value. Balance in storytelling is very important and is the key,” Anupama ended.
