Ultimately, it’s about making health non-negotiable: Mishal Khan
Actor-producer Mishal Khan says that although keeping up with his fitness is challenging due to his busy schedule, he ensures that he spends at least one hour working out.
He said, “Staying fit amidst a busy schedule is all about consistency and making fitness a priority. I plan my workouts, ensuring I spend at least one hour at the gym, even on hectic days. I also keep my meals balanced and stay well-hydrated throughout the day to support my energy levels. Ultimately, it’s about finding what works for you and making health non-negotiable. I make self-care a priority – mental health matters.”
“My fitness regime gives me boundless energy and mental clarity. Regular exercise boosts my mood and reduces stress levels. Fitness helps me feel more alert, focused, and productive throughout the day,” he added.
He follows a balanced diet that helps him stay on track with his fitness goals, even when life gets busy. “I focus on whole foods, plenty of protein, and staying hydrated. My meals are nutrient-dense, meaning they’re rich in the vitamins and minerals my body needs to function at its best. This helps me stay energized and perform optimally throughout the day,” he said.
“I also practice portion control and meal prep to avoid making unhealthy choices when I’m pressed for time. My diet isn’t about restricting myself but rather giving my body the fuel it needs to stay strong and active. Balance is key, and I allow myself treats occasionally while keeping my overall nutrition in check,” he added.
But like everyone else, he agrees that there are days when he doesn’t feel like working out, but he pushes himself to do it anyway. “I’ve realized that fitness is a journey, not a destination. It’s the small, consistent efforts that make the biggest difference. When I remind myself of that, it keeps me going. I’m also motivated by the progress I’ve made and the fear of losing that progress,” he said.
“The thought of falling behind on my fitness gains pushes me to stay committed. Even if it’s just a short workout or a walk, doing something is always better than doing nothing. That mentality keeps me focused, even when my schedule doesn’t allow for a structured routine,” he added.
Though he agrees that there is pressure to look fit in the industry, he shared that inner health and well-being are just as crucial. He added, “I understand the pressure, but I prioritize fitness for my own health and happiness, not just appearance. It’s essential to promote realistic beauty standards and diversity in our industry.”
Two fitness tips? “One of my top fitness tips is to focus on progress, not perfection. Every small step counts, and it’s important to acknowledge those little victories along the way. Consistency is key, even if you can’t always do a full workout. Another tip is to listen to your body—rest and recovery are just as important as exercise. Taking care of your mental health is also crucial in maintaining overall well-being,” Mishal ended.
