The Zee Theatre teleplay is set in rural Bengal and revolves around the dreams of a young boy Amal
Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore’s classic tale ‘Daak Ghar,’ transports audiences back to the 20th century rural Bengal where Amal, a terminally ill young boy is dreaming of leaving the confines of his room to lead a life of joy, freedom and adventure. He spends his days, sitting by a window and wistfully watching the world go by. When a chowkidar tells him about a new Post Office in the neighbourhood, Amal begins to daydream about getting and delivering letters. His biggest wish however is to meet the king. Will his dream come true?
Directed by Nagesh Kukunoor, the Zee Theatre teleplay also stars Krrish Chhabria.
