Say “Aye Aye” to the Latest Bacardí House Party Sessions Track
Bacardí launches the next awaited track and music video by Pull mentored by Amit Trivedi
Mumbai.: Bacardí House Party Sessions (BHPS) launched the third track under the BHPS banner, “Aye Aye”, by the 6-piece indie alternative rock band Pull, mentored by none other than Amit Trivedi.
The essence of Pull’s music lies in minimalism and their heartfelt poetry, that is sure to make you want to sway. Soulful words combined with a rhythm are strung together by a simple melody of guitar and keys.
“Aye Aye” follows the classic story of longing for another, in the wonder of what may come. The video trails back and forth exploring both individuals and their experiences, tracing their movements around each other, close yet separate.
The story reaches its ballad-like ending with the protagonists coming face-to-face in a seemingly harmless encounter which leaves them spellbound. Their subsequent awkward, almost shy meetings eventually translate into the beginning of something special. It celebrates the joy which is entwined with the process of making new bonds in this never halting journey.
Speaking on his role as a mentor to Pull, Amit Trivedi said, “Alternative rock, especially combined with Hindi, is on an incline. Bands like pull have a soothing and a global sound, welcoming the fusion of quirky rhythm and lyrics. The band has retained their simple, honest sound, doing what moves them, by putting together this terrific track.
My work with ‘Pull’ has been a thrilling experience and I absolutely love their vibe. With this effort, Bacardí House Party Sessions is not only recognising and supporting independent artists in India, but also giving an impetus to the rise of indie music within mainstream music. Thereby getting the audience exposed to varied musical genres, ultimately creating an inclusive and profitable music community.”
Bacardí’s endeavour to identify and nurture the abundant talent in the country, and the popular demand, has urged us to squeeze in the release of a bonus track. Stay tuned to see what’s in store next on #BacardíHousePartySessions
