Anya Singh: The New Secret Ingredient to Cook Up Blockbusters – The Ba*ds of Bollywood and Border 2
There are actors who act, and there are actors who perform! And Anya Singh truly belongs to the second category. Going by the success of The Ba***ds of Bollywood and her latest release, Border 2, Anya is not sprinting towards stardom; she’s choosing roles that are a smooth amalgamation of glamour, detail and substantiality.
In The Ba***ds of Bollywood, Anya might not be the loudest in the room as a celebrity manager, but her pivotal role proved to be the catalyst throughout the series. The actress kept it naturally breezy and let her emotional dynamics pave the way. Her on-screen rapport with co-stars, including Lakshya, Raghav Juyal and others added momentum to the comical tone of the series. It highlighted that the casting fit well.
Then came Border 2, and Anya shifted gears from a comedy-drama genre to a historical drama and added to the film’s emotional world. As Ahan Shetty’s on-screen wife, Sudha Rawat, Anya navigated the life of a navy officer’s wife, capturing the strength, resilience, and sacrifices that come their way. As Sudha, Anya ditched the glamour and tapped into her emotional strength to portray a character that rides on resistance and emotional depth.
The Ba***ds of Bollywood and Border 2 emerged as successes in the OTT space as well as on the big screens. And with Anya being a pivotal part of both projects, the actress proved that she’s got the knack to disappear behind characters to lend weight to spectacles across genres.
And with the success of two grand projects, it’d be safe to say that Anya has just started!
