The teaser of the highly awaited film ‘Sanju’ has finally been unveiled today at a venue in the suburbs of western Mumbai.
Ranbir Kapoor, Director Rajkumar Hirani, Producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Fox Star Studios CEO Vijay Singh, Bhushan Kumar and writer Abhijat Joshi were present at the teaser launch.
Speaking about the making the film Producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra said,”I immediately said have you gone crazy, what is there in Sanjay Dutt’s life, that you are going to make a film on his life, will you glorify him?. Then they started telling me the story, then slowly and steadily I started discovering Sanjay Dutt that frankly I did’nt know.”
The films lead hero Ranbir Kapoor shared,”Firstly I have always been a Sanjay Dutt fan. So for me, it was a fan playing his icon. So the hardest thing for me was to give myself the confidence to do it. I consider Sanjay Dutt a very flawed person but a wonderful person. He’s a pop icon. It was scary.”
Director Rajkumar Hirani shared that Sanjay Dutt has not been glorified in the film, he added,”When we heard the story, we thought that a film needs to be made, and we asked Sanju that we are going to make this film, do you have the courage? the story which you are telling us if it is shown on the screen will it be alright with you?. Will you not have any problem and Sanju agreed.”

Writer Abhijat Joshi informed,”It was the most astounding tale, that we have ever come across, in a short while and in a couple of months, we had 725 pages of a transcript, usually I and Raju used to go out for a walk, trying to create a scene, here it was what will be the scenes we would be able to keep in the movie.”

Speaking about the film’s music Bhushan Kumar said,”The songs are very good, they are not old songs, taking the film into consideration old songs cant be used in the film, because that has already been shot on Sanjay Dutt
Fox Star Studio CEO Vijay Singh shared,”I think we are very clear, that we want to work with the best talent in the industry, and I think  everyone sitting in this room  will know it cant get better than this, so I think its privilege for us at Fox here to work with this very very talented team”
The teaser of the Sanju showcases Ranbir Kapoor seamlessly slip into the skin of his character. Also, the teaser makes you pleasantly surprised as there is a very strong resemblance between Ranbir Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt which is hard to ignore.

Rajkumar Hirani the helmer of the film shared,”Sanju is a brave guy. It is very difficult to project someone’s life on screen.” He also revealed that though Sanju hasn’t seen the movie yet, he is okay with it.
The recently released teaser of Sanju traces the journey of highs and lows of Bollywood Superstar Sanjay Dutt.
Starring Ranbir Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, Manisha Koirala, Anushka Sharma, Sonam Kapoor, Dia Mirza, Vicky Kaushal, Jim Sarbh and Boman Irani.
Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, Sanju is Produced by Vinod Chopra Films and Rajkumar Hirani Films in association with Fox Star Studios, slated to release on 29th June, 2018.
