Empowering Startups: Ivy League Ventures and IIT Delhi to Build Indore’s Entrepreneurial Ecosystem

Indore, October 24, 2024: With the aim of boosting startup and entrepreneurial activity in Indore and its surrounding areas, IVY League Ventures organized Indore Innovest – Innovate, Connect, and Invest at Nakshatra Convention Center on Thursday. In collaboration with IIT Delhi, the event aimed to create a better ecosystem to promote entrepreneurship culture. IIT Delhi has selected Indore to develop a strong startup ecosystem in Tier-2 cities.

Empowering Startups through Strategic Networks
Mr. Anand Saklecha from IVY League Ventures stated that Indore has all the essential elements to become a startup hub; what is needed is the right guidance and platform. With this in mind, the event was organized to provide startups the opportunity to connect with investors, industry leaders, and mentors. Through these connections, startups could gain access to necessary resources, expert advice, and networking opportunities, allowing them to scale successfully and promote innovation in Indore and its surrounding regions.

Mr. Nikhil Agrawal, MD and CEO of FITT-IIT Delhi, shared his enthusiasm, stating that the energy of Indore’s youth and startups was evident throughout the event. Many startups were identified that, with proper guidance, have the potential to scale to a larger level and even become unicorns. Through such events, efforts will be made to stay connected with these promising startups in Indore.

In the program, Day Jin Kim, renowned in the global entrepreneurial landscape, addressed the startups. He shared insights into the global scenario of innovation and startup scaling. His knowledge proved to be very enriching for both new and established entrepreneurs, as he focused on sharing practical aspects of the startup journey.

Driving Impactful Conversations for Startup Growth
A panel discussion was also organized during the event, involving industry leaders, investors, and individuals connected with the startup ecosystem. Prashant H. from Cactus Ventures mentioned that the panel discussion covered important topics such as investment strategies, innovation incubation, and accelerating startup growth, offering participants an opportunity to learn about practical and strategic aspects of becoming successful entrepreneurs.

Dr. Madhu Vasupalli from IVY League Ventures shared that the main highlight of the program was the pitching session, where more than 25 selected startups from across the country presented their pitches to investors. Several startups were invited for the next round of discussions, while some secured funding on the spot. Deep Sen from Singapore expressed that hosting an event of this level in a city like Indore reflects its potential. Together, efforts will be made to establish Indore as a global startup hub.
