The tricolour is my heart and soul: Rashami Desai on India’s 77th Independence Day
Rashami Desai is one actor in the Indian entertainment industry who simply doesn’t need any introduction. Be it Hindi TV shows, music videos, OTT projects or anything, you name it and Rashami has been a front-runner in that department of performing arts. She’s also entertained one and all with her reality show stints and no wonder, she emerged as one of the favourites always. Behind that bubbly and charming personality of Rashami lies a heart that literally breathes and bleeds for the country.
Come what may, Rashami has never left an opportunity to enhance India’s culture and heritage in whatever way she can. She loves her country and that’s exactly why, she has special thoughts to share on India’s 77th Independence Day. The actress says and we quote,
“My country is everything for me. This is the country that has given me everything. From the freedom to express myself as a woman right from my childhood to the freedom to be myself and do what I want to professionally and be accepted for the same, I have received everything in my country. Looking back at hindsight, all this has been somewhere down the line possible because our freedom fighters decided to fight the British and free our motherland. The situation otherwise could have been a lot different today. We all must be forever indebted to our freedom fighters for their contribution to the country.”
She further added,
“I understand that in today’s time of hustle and bustle, it’s not always possible to specifically allocate time for this. However, on such days, one must exclusively dedicate their day just for the country’s emotions. The tricolour is my heart and soul. I am going to be a part of the flag hoisting ceremony and then I plan to spend time with my family watching some patriotic Hindi films. I am lucky to be an Indian. Jai Hind. Vande Mataram.”
