Navagaman – 2018
Institute of Management Studies (DAVV) Indore, celebrated its invocation ceremony ‘Navagaman’ on 1st August, 2018 at the university central auditorium.
The formal programme was presided over by Honourable Vice Chancellor of DAVV Prof. Narendra Kumar Dhakad. Prof. Dhakad encouraged the students to be ready to work hard and face challenges with a ‘never say die spirit’. He further said that students should be fluent in both Hindi and English, because Hindi is the national language and English is the global language for business and commerce. He also told the students to be grateful towards their parents who provide them with all facilities to build a better future.
Honourable Vice Chancellor of ShriVaishnavVidyapeeth University was the keynote speaker of the programme. He guided the students as to how they should make the most out of the tenure at IMS and always strive to excel at their profession.He shared a mantra of 15 Ps like patience, performance, perfection, perseverance, etc. which are essential qualities that one should possess in order to become an effective and efficient professional.
ShriNishantWarwade, Collector, Indore district graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour. ShriWarwadealso addressed the students giving them some very important tips for a successful life. He said that one should choose a career path that is aligned to his/her interests and natural aptitude. He also cautioned the students not to give in to any kind of pressure and do something that they do not agree with.
Shri Sunil Panjwani (Senior V.P., HDFC Bank) was the second Guest of Honour.He gave a corporate perspective to attaining management education and encouraged the students to always be open to new learnings. Dr. Sangeeta Jain (Director, IMS) also addressed the students on the occasion. She informed the students about the culture, facilities and activities at IMS. The programme was conducted by Dr. AninditaChatterjee (faculty, IMS) and the Vote of Thanks was proposed by |Dr. Kapil Sharma (faculty, IMS).
The formal programmewas followed by an informal programme. There were cultural performances and an elaborate faculty – student interaction. This was conducted by Dr. N.K. Totala (faculty, IMS).
