Rahul Sharma dons the hat of a stunt director on the sets of Pyar Ki Luka Chuppi
In absence of a professional stunt director Rahul took the initiative to design a car accident scene of Aparna Dixit and himself
Mumbai. Several weeks have passed by when television serials started shooting and are back on the tube to entertain their audience after a hiatus of couple of months owing to the nationwide lockdown.
Makers arestrictly adhering to the guidelines set by the Government and ensuring utmost safety is maintained on set. As limitednumber of people are allowed on the sets, actors too have come forwardand agreed to do their own hair and makeup.
Rahul Sharma who plays the role of Sarthak in the show Pyar Ki Luka Chuppi on Dangal recently agreed to take up additional responsibility. After honing his cooking and writing skills in the lockdown, Rahul has added another feather in his cap.
The makers recently turned to him to design an intense stunt sequence of a car accident of Aparna Dixit (Srishti) and himself, which he graciously took up and worked along with the show director.
Sharing how this accident sequence was shot, Rahul Sharma said,“Due to the covid situation, only a limited number of people are allowed on the sets. So, me and my director thought of designing the whole accident sequence on our own. While shooting the scene, it became so intense that Aparna almost burst into tears. She was pretty scared. We even ended up burning the clutch plate and ruining the tires. It was a crazy experience.”
Filming such sequences needs a lot of safety precautions and camera techniques. Talking about how they managed to do it, Rahul adds, “As safety was of utmost importance, we made sure that our attempts were not too risky and at the same time ensured that all precautions were in place as per recommendations. The director was confident about my driving and as I have done quite a few action sequences in the past, I had an understanding of how the sequencecould be shot. We have tried our level best and make it look as real as possible.”
Well it will be fun to watch this sequence after finding out the real story behind it.
