Megha Sharma talks about shooting her first music video with renowned music director Sajid Khan
Megha Sharma, who has been part of shows like Baal Krishna and Mahakali—Anth Hi Aarambh Hai, and was last seen in Pandya Stores, shot for a music video with renowned music director Sajid Khan. The brothers Sajid- Wajid are a name to reckon with in the industry, and the actress calls herself fortunate to have shot a video for them. The song launched on their YouTube channel on October 6.
Talking about it, Megha said, “They are women-centric Ghazals for their YouTube channel, I can’t reveal much about it. It was my first music video, and I feel lucky to have worked with Sajid sir. It’s a great opportunity for me.”
“The ghazal I worked on with Sajid sir is basically a tribute to his late brother Wajid Khan, who is no more. I learned a lot during the shooting process because Sajid Sir very experienced in the music industry, and it was a privilege to work with him. I had a great experience, especially after wrapping up the shoot on the last day,” she added. Megha further said, “I’ve always seen Sajid sir as very emotional and hardworking. His dedication throughout his journey is commendable and reflects the beautiful bond he shares with Wajid sir. I had a great time with everyone. The teamwork was really good.”
Giving details about the songs, Megha revealed that they are a new generation take on the popular old-school ghazals, and have been crooned by talented singers like Hariharan, Shaan, and Kavita Krishnamurty, to name a few. She said, “These music videos are made on all the songs that are gazals. People who love music enjoy ghazals because of their soothing melodies and meaningful lyrics. Many listeners, especially those who appreciate classic songs, love listening to old ghazals. These timeless pieces bring back memories and offer a peaceful, emotional experience that connects with the heart, so these gazals are made in a new age way that music lovers can relate to, and I am sure they would love it.”
