The trailer for Sonic the Hedgehog 3 has sent fans into a frenzy! With Sonic, Knuckles, and Tails uniting once again to save the planet, Jim Carrey making a grand return as the villainous Dr. Ivo Robotnik, and Keanu Reeves lending his voice to Shadow, the film promises thrice the adventure and thrice the laughs.

But it is the excitement about Jim Carrey’s return that has created a frenzy! The actor not only returns as Dr. Ivo Robotnik, but also plays Ivo’s equally treacherous 110-year-old grandfather, Gerald Robotnik, the engineer of Shadow’s evil intentions.

Talking about the challenge of playing both Robotniks, Carrey says jokingly, “Until I realized I was doing twice the work for the same pay. Next time they’re going to have to throw in a Chaos Emerald or two. But I had asked the universe for a kickass franchise that would endear itself to children everywhere and appeal to the child inside all of us. And blammo, here I am, right through the Sega wormhole.”
