B62 Studios’ Article 370 takes its place among India’s finest! Aditya Dhar, Lokesh Dhar, Yami Gautam Dhar, Aditya Suhas Jambhale and Shashwat Sachdev head to the 72nd National Film Awards

On September 22, the team behind Article 370, B62 Studios’ maiden release, arrives at Ekta Nagar, Gujarat, to receive the country’s highest film honours from President Droupadi Murmu. Producers Aditya Dhar and Lokesh Dhar, actor Yami Gautam Dhar, director Aditya Suhas Jambhale and composer Shashwat Sachdev will be there together.

Article 370 was the film a newly founded B62 Studios opened its account with, built around a story many would have called risky, and handed to a director stepping into theatrical features for the first time. For Jambhale, this is his third National Award, and his first for a feature, arriving with his directorial debut. For Sachdev, it’s his second, following Uri: The Surgical Strike, the Aditya Dhar film that began their partnership, a collaboration that has since run through Dhurandhar and Dhurandhar The Revenge.

What has followed says as much. B62’s slate has since grown to include Dhoom Dhaam, Baramulla and Dhurandhar, among the biggest Hindi blockbusters in recent memory. Set the taut political drama and the full-throated spectacle side by side, and a studio unwilling to pick a lane comes into view: awards on one hand, box office on the other, the same instinct behind both.

September 22 belongs to the people who made Article 370 and marks, for B62 Studios, a beginning as much as a milestone.
