Centered around the theme, “Water, Sanitation and Plumbing: Operation and Maintenance (Challenges and Solutions),” the three-day conference will serve as a premier platform for knowledge exchange and industry dialogue, focusing on the efficient management of water resources, sanitation infrastructure, sustainability, operational excellence and technological advancements shaping the built environment.
As rapid urbanization continues to place increasing demands on India’s water and sanitation systems, the conference aims to facilitate discussions on innovative strategies, best practices and policy frameworks that can help strengthen infrastructure resilience and support sustainable urban development.
The event will feature keynote sessions, technical presentations, panel discussions, industry case studies and networking opportunities, enabling participants to engage with experts and gain insights into the latest trends, challenges and solutions across the sector.
Announcing the conference, Gurmit Singh Arora, National President, Indian Plumbing Association, said, “India’s growing urban centers are facing unprecedented challenges related to water availability, sanitation infrastructure and resource management. Addressing these issues requires a collaborative approach that brings together expertise from across the ecosystem. The Indian Plumbing Conference 2026 will provide an important forum for sharing knowledge, discussing emerging challenges and identifying practical solutions that can contribute to a more sustainable future.”
Highlighting Chennai’s significance as the host city, he added, “Chennai has demonstrated remarkable progress in infrastructure development, engineering innovation and sustainable urban planning. Its experience in managing water-related challenges makes it a fitting venue for this year’s conference. We look forward to bringing together industry professionals and thought leaders to exchange ideas and drive meaningful change.”
Over the past three decades, the Indian Plumbing Conference has evolved into one of the country’s most prominent platforms for advancing professional standards, promoting sustainable plumbing practices, encouraging water conservation and supporting skill development within the industry.
