From Comfort to Inspiration: Celebrities Spill Their Coffee Rituals on International Coffee Day
October 1st marks the celebration of International Coffee Day. For many, coffee is more than just a drink—it’s a ritual, a source of comfort, and a spark of inspiration. In the fast-paced entertainment industry, where creativity and energy are key, our favorite stars open up about their unique connections with this beloved beverage. From the soothing warmth of filter coffee to the energizing embrace of black coffee, each actor shares their personal coffee experiences.

Coffee is love, though I’m not a caffeine addict, as I follow a strict diet plan. However, when I’m on set, I need my hot cup of coffee in the evening—it definitely helps to pep me up. If I’m out with friends in the evening, I enjoy my regular cold coffee. Whenever my friend Priyanka invites us for a South Indian breakfast or lunch at her place, the filter coffee she makes after meals is to die for (she’s originally from Mangalore). I would have loved to have coffee with Satyajit Ray if he were alive today. I admire his work and how he thought far ahead of his time. More recently, I’ve been drawn to Satinder Sartaj, the Punjabi singer and actor—I love how he writes his songs, with meaning, heart, and a depth that surpasses the usual stuff we hear today.
Mishal Khan
I’m a coffee lover, but my preference is simple—black coffee, and just one cup a day. There’s something about that pure, unadulterated flavor that energizes me, giving me the boost I need. Coffee, after all, is a great way to kick-start your day. Speaking of energy, it reminds me of Salman Khan. He’s a powerhouse, always full of vitality. I can’t help but wonder—what’s his secret ingredient that keeps him going? Perhaps it’s something as simple as a strong cup of coffee!

I love coffee. I am not a coffee addict, but I usually have coffee during shoots or in meetings. Whenever I go out, it’s usually for coffee. It depends on my mood whether I want to have cold coffee, chocolate-based coffee, or black coffee. I would love to have coffee with SRK, as I admire his career graph and his work; he is an inspirational personality. He is such a well-read person.

I try to stick to 2 cups a day, as too much caffeine isn’t good for the body. But if we have night shoots, that number often increases to 3 or 4. I make my own version of iced coffee—a shot of espresso, ice, and milk. But I also love a good Vietnamese cold brew. Coffee is definitely a pick-me-up, and I need it first thing in the morning to start my day. I think I’d like to host a roundtable discussion—or maybe even a ‘Coffee with Deeksha’ series!

I am a coffee lover. I mostly prefer cold coffee over hot, as it refreshes me. I like to have coffee twice a day. In the morning, I have hot coffee, and in the evening, I have cold coffee. Yes, of course, I am a coffee addict, and I feel coffee reduces stress and definitely perks up my mood. It refreshes my mind and soul. If I could have a cup of coffee with any actor, it would be Shahrukh Khan because he is one of my favorites, and I guess the conversation would be about how he stays so fit and still looks so young and charming, even as a father of three.
Ekta Tiwari
In my childhood, Boost and Horlicks used to be the secret of my energy, and now coffee is my booster for a hectic schedule. Yes, I am a coffeeholic, having 6 to 8 cups of coffee a day, depending on the day. Black coffee is my love; it keeps me on my toes, while any other type of coffee depends on the company. Coffee reduces my stress; it’s not an addiction. I can even have coffee before going to bed, although science says coffee keeps you awake and away from sleep or dullness. That doesn’t apply to me. By the way, the list is long of all the people I want to have a small coffee chat with. I dream of having a long coffee lunch or dinner date with my love, Rekha ji. And not just a date—it’s a big project that is my lifetime dream.

I am a coffee maniac. I need a regular 2-3 cups of coffee a day. My coffee is usually strong, so I often choose either a flat white or an Americano. Just like a battery needs a recharge, coffee is my battery. In fact, I’m so in love with it that I set up a kiosk in my gym where we cater to gym members and staff. Since I’m in a creative field myself, I came up with a unique brand name called फking Good Coffee, and it’s doing well. I would love to have a conversation over coffee with Mr. Dilip Kumar ji. I want to know about the struggles of cinema back then and the challenges he faced.
Raviraa Bhardwaj
Yes, I am a coffee lover! I usually have about 3–4 cups a day. While I try to stick to black coffee most of the time, I absolutely love iced lattes with oat milk and vanilla syrup from Starbucks. I used to be quite the coffee addict—I could even sleep after having coffee at night! But I’ve since managed to control that habit. If Icould have coffee with any actor, it would be Brad Pitt. I’d love to ask him how he so effortlessly switches between such diverse roles in his career. That conversation would be fascinating!
Saanand Verma
I’m a hardcore coffee lover, and I enjoy all kinds—black coffee, cappuccino, latte, cold coffee—you name it! The smell of coffee alone is enough to lift my mood. I have at least two to three cups a day, and if you ask, cappuccino is my absolute favorite. Coffee refreshes me when I’m feeling low on energy and brightens my day. If I could share a cup of coffee with anyone, it would be the legendary Marlon Brando in his Godfather getup. I’m fascinated by his performance in The Godfather, and I’d love to chat with him about Francis Ford Coppola—how he approached filmmaking and what he was like as a director on set. To me, filmmaking is primarily a director’s medium, and having a conversation about the greatest film of all time over coffee would be a dream come true.
Monika Singh
First of all, I’m not a coffee person at all. I only drink coffee out of necessity—when I’m tired, feeling very sleepy, or when I have to work out but feel lazy. In such cases, I drink coffee, but otherwise, I don’t like it at all. However, if I ever got the chance to have coffee with any actor, I would love it to be with Rekha or Priyanka Chopra. I really want to know how they manage to look so perfect. Recently, I saw a video of Rekha Ji performing, and even at her age, she carries herself with so much grace and confidence. I wonder how they do it—how they maintain such poise. I’d love to learn every little detail from Rekha Ji, as I admire her a lot. As for Priyanka Chopra, she’s my role model. During that one coffee meeting, I would try to learn everything I could that might also benefit me.
