I did not choose the show, the show chose me: Sneha Wagh on her Hindi Television debut ‘Jyoti’
Mumbai. The writers, directors and the creative team of a show or a movie always have a clear vision of how they want their characters to look and behave. Inevitably, they are always on a look for an ideal match. It was a similar case in Jyoti that was first aired in
The creative team was sure on the kind of face they wanted for their lead role and hence searched for 6-8 months before they finally came across Sneha Wagh in a Marathi show.
When asked about how she felt after bagging Jyoti, Sneha said, “I did not choose the show, the show chose me. I was very content doing Marathi shows and dancing and wasn’t really ambitious. But when asked to audition for Jyoti, I willingly did it.
Even after bagging the role, I did exactly what the director asked me to do. He had complete faith in me. The way he asked me to act, change my dialect, etc. I was just like the director’s puppet. But I knew the story was beautiful and am glad it is reaching so many people even today.”
Even though Sneha didn’t have the experience at that young age, she admits she was mature enough to understand Jyoti’s feelings and kept walking on the path shown by her director.
Jyoti marked Sneha Wagh’s entry in the Hindi Television Industry. Indeed, destiny always has something planned for you.
