Shriya Pilgaonkar is excited to work with Gurinder Chadha
Fan movie-fame, Shriya Pilgaonkar will be seen playing a pivotal role alongside Tom Bateman in a British TV Series, ‘Beecham House’.
Directed by Gurinder Chadha for ITV, Shriya will be essaying the character of ‘Chanchal’, a secretive caretaker of Tom’s baby. Sources also reveal that she has a crucial love track on the show. The shoot has already begun for this six-part series in London!
Elaborating on her role, the actress expresses her excitement to be a part of the glorious cast, she says “I am thrilled to be working with a host of talented individuals and Gurinder is definitely a powerhouse! Also, I have always been fascinated by period dramas and it feels so surreal to be a
part of this story.”
She adds, “My character is definitely intriguing and she has many shades attached to her personality. She is ambitious, secretive, passionate as well as innocent.”
This period drama series is set on the cusp of 19th century and follows the lives of the residents of the palatial Beecham House. The show also features ensemble cast including Lesley Nicol, Bessie Carter and Marc Warren.
