Legendary shows require a lot of hard work: Rahul Sharma
Mumbai. Acting is one of the very few professions where you can live lives of multiple people at a time. You can live their experiences, feel their emotions and empathize with them even more.
It also lets you move past eras and live in the past or the future. But the most difficult part of the whole process is to wear the character’s personality as your own.
Rahul Sharma, who is currently seen as Sarthak in Pyar ki Luka Chuppi has had the opportunity of doing multiple shows and to play a variety of characters in his career till date.
He has done periodic drama, mythological shows and even regular daily soaps. When asked what difference has he experienced in the various genres of shows that he has done, the Dangal TV star says, “Mythological shows and characters definitely take a lot of effort.
Say for example when you are a warrior, you not only have to physically be like the character but also start thinking and behaving in a certain manner. Every aspect of how you are standing, how you talk and walk, what you speak, your pauses, your diction, attitude, everything matters a lot.
You should feel the character and the onscreen aura should also personify that. I have got the opportunity to play a warrior, god and prince. All experiences were different. When I played Vishnu, I had to be so calm and patient, that it should reflect on your face.
I used to meditate a lot and ensured I was in that zone so that I would be able to speak through my eyes and face without giving any expression. There are many things you need to keep in mind. You need not react, you can’t say a lot but your expressions should do the talking. It is a different kind of genre all together.”
It is all because of these efforts that the audience fails to distinguish between the actor and character. And that is nothing less than an achievement for an artist.
Rahul Sharma is currently seen in Pyar Ki Luka Chuppi daily at 7 pm only on Dangal TV. The show is sure to keep viewers excited and gripped with a new turn of events.
