Junior Miss India Pageant Celebrates Indian Cultural Heritage

130 Participants from 25 States Walk the Ramp in Traditional Attire

Indore: The Junior Miss India pageant showcased the pride and glory of India’s cultural heritage, with 130 girls from 25 states presenting their state’s traditional attire on the ramp with immense confidence. The event, part of the National Girls Festival, emphasized women’s empowerment and gender equality. Held at the Marriott Hotel on Saturday, the competition saw thousands of auditions nationwide, with 130 participants aged 5 to 14 selected for the final round across four categories. These finalists underwent a month of grooming and training, guided by Miss Universe India NoyonitaLodh and Unnati Singh.

Indian Young Celebrity Influencers and Inspiration Awards
During the event, 15 talented girls from Mumbai, who have significantly impacted their fields, were honored with the Indian Young Celebrity Influencers and Inspiration Awards. Additionally, 15 influential girls from Indore were also awarded. These 30 young icons represent determination, creativity, and leadership, serving as role models for their peers and the next generation.

Ambassadors of Cleanliness
The participants were given a tour of Indore’s major tourist attractions, including Rajwada. They were educated on the city’s successful cleanliness practices, which have earned Indore the title of the cleanest city in India. These girls were appointed as cleanliness ambassadors to spread awareness and promote cleanliness initiatives in their respective states. They also visited the Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain, gaining deeper insights into Indian culture.

Next Event to be Held in New York
Following successful events in Mumbai over the past two years, the pageant is now expanding to different states, starting with Indore. Building on its popularity in India, the event is set to go international, with the first show scheduled for July in New York. This will provide a fantastic opportunity for NRIs and Indian children to connect with their cultural roots on foreign soil. Subsequent events will be held at various international locations.
