Areion Finserve appoints Shekhar Ramarajan as Chief Executive Officer

Mumbai, September 22, 2026: Areion Finserve Private Limited, the NBFC platform of Areion Group, announced the appointment of Shekhar Ramarajan as Chief Executive Officer. In his new role, Shekhar will lead scaling the lending franchise, strengthening the team and operating infrastructure, and scaling responsibly with robust underwriting, technology, governance and risk management.

A Chartered Accountant with over 25 years of experience, Shekhar has held senior leadership roles across banking, NBFCs and housing finance, with expertise spanning credit, risk, operations, underwriting and business leadership. Prior to joining Areion Finserve, he was General Manager and Head, Corporate & Institutional Group at Karur Vysya Bank, where he also served as Head, Retail Assets and Chief Risk Officer. He has previously held leadership positions at Aditya Birla Housing Finance, Aditya Birla Finance, Manappuram Finance and Kotak Mahindra Bank.
