Himalaya BabyCare Organizes an Interactive Session with Doctors and New Mothers
Indore. Himalaya BabyCare, India’s leading homegrown baby care brand, organized an educational healthcare program, “My Baby & Me”, in Indore. The program was organized to educate mothers on the importance of vaccination, health screening of newborns, and postnatal care for new mothers.
In an endeavor to address children’s health and developmental concerns, Himalaya has taken the initiative to educate mothers through this interactive session with doctors from the city.
“Parents often have a lot of queries pertaining to their child’s health, sleep patterns, baby massage, and generally struggle to find credible answers. The “My Baby & Me”initiative is a platform for mothers to engage in discussions with doctors and other mums, and to address their own health issues, as well as concerns about their baby’s health.
Through “My Baby & Me”, we intend to provide an opportunity for mothers to interact with notable doctors from the city who can offer solutions and assurance,” said Mr. Chakravarthi, Business Head, Himalaya BabyCare and Himalaya FOR MOMS,The Himalaya Drug Company.
Around 50mothers participated in the event. They were addressed by Dr. Brajbala Tiwari, Obstetrician-Gynecologist, Dr. Vineeta Agrawal, Pediatrician, Dr. Samvedita Malviya, Dietician, and Dr. Nidhi Mathankar, Physiotherapist, who also interacted with the mothers at the event.
“Regular health checkups are important for newborns. Vaccination is the most vital way parents can shield their children from serious illnesses. “My Baby & Me” also gives an opportunity to communicate key messages regarding postnatal care, postpartum family planning, and breastfeeding,” opined Dr. Vineeta Agrawal.
“The entire neonatal period, from birth to the 28th day after birth, is a time of increased risk and can be a very critical period for mother and her newborn. Eating a healthy diet consisting of fruits, vegetables, and pulses is important for mother’s wellness, since she is breastfeeding. Eating well also helps mother stay active to take care of baby and keeps the immune system working well,” added Dr. Brajbala Tiwari.
Along with an interactive session, a health camp was organized by Himalaya BabyCare. During this, mothers were educatedon post-pregnancy pain management and baby massage techniques, and the importance of maintaining a healthy dietpre and post pregnancy which are vital for the well-being of both the mother and baby.
