Spread the Magic of Music and enlighten your soul
Nicole Fernandes, a PR Professional and Keyboard teacher, aims at strengthening the society with the magic of music by introducing ‘Stay Tuned’ Online Weekend Keyboard Tutorials for All Age Groups Pan India .
In the COVID-19 era, people of all age groups can register for online tutorials. ‘Stay Tuned’ Online sessions also aims at spreading a ray of hope in the lives of individuals who are deaf and the hearing impaired. ‘Music for the Hearing Impaired is an independently handled music project and its Whatsapp registrations begin from 20th July 2020.
Beginning from 1st August 2020 – Saturday, the keyboard sessions consist of 45 minutes per session, available at affordable prices. The music instructor will use unique and simple techniques to enable each and every blind and deaf student to understand how to play the electronic keyboard, thus giving out the message that ‘Nothing is Impossible’.
Individuals who are facing the challenge of partial hearing or completely deaf can learn the instrument through lip reading, gestures and converting music into numbers. Customised keyboard lessons (scales, chords, songs etc) have been planned for the blind to enable demonstration and identification of sound when different keys of the instrument are being played with light and heavy touches.
While the blind will be able to understand the instructions given by the music instructor, they will also understand the placement of fingers, scales and pitch throughout the course.
The journey so far has been quite fruitful in terms of networking and boosting the confidence of several other hearing impaired viewers through her introductory Youtube Video Tutorials ‘Music For The Deaf’ (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hzLjC91aQOg ).
