Valagro join hands with Farmkart for the distribution of innovative solution for sustainable agriculture

Central Indian farmers will now have access to world-class Valagro biostimulants

Barwani (Madhya Pradesh). Valagro, a global leader in the production and commercialisation of biostimulants and specialty nutrients based in Italy, has joined hands with agritech innovation startup Farmkart to distribute its products in central India.

“Through this strategic tie up advanced biostimulant farming products will be available to farmers in central India on our e-commerce platform. We will start the distribution from Nimar region and then will cover the other areas in future,” said Akash Kandhari, Head – Growth and Partnership, Farmkart.

Farmkart is an agritech innovation company which is known for designing technology solutions for non- tech savvy farmers.

Currently, around 700 world-famous agri-input products from renowned national and international brands are available to more than 150,000 farmers in around 1,200 places in Madhya Pradesh.

This tie up is significant for both Valagro and Farmkart as the companies are working towards a common goal of sustainable agriculture.

For this reason the partnership with Farmakart is very relevant to Valagro, as it will allow us to successfully meet the Indian farmers’ needs to combine sustainability with productivity to get the most out of their crops” said Sanjay K. “Farmkart’s partnership with Valagro will give farmers access to exclusive biostimulants with active ingredients of natural origin. Also, this tie up is in line with our mission of making the most modern and useful agricultural inputs affordable and accessible to farmers in India,” added Kandhari.

Valagro is a 40-year old company known for its innovative and sustainable solutions for crop care and nutrition. The company has a strong presence in Europe, Africa, North Africa, Americas. Currently, it is focusing on expanding its market in Asia pacific.

The company entered India in 2015. Plant biostimulants form around 50-55 per cent of its total turnover.

The tie up marks Valagro’s entry in the central Indian state Madhya Pradesh. As of today, Valagro’s products will only be available through Farmkart in the region.
