Kumar Sanu surprises contestant Durgesh; says, “I will send a TV to your home so that your mother and father can watch you on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa”

A guru’s blessings and guidance often play an invaluable role in shaping an artist’s journey, making every milestone even more meaningful. Celebrating the spirit of music, encouragement and togetherness, Zee TV’s Sa Re Ga Ma Pa 2026 is all set to bring a heartwarming surprise during its upcoming Diwali special episode. The iconic singing reality show, which continues to live up to its promise of being ‘Hindustan Ka Sangeetsthan’, will showcase a memorable moment for contestant Durgesh Yadav in the presence of his Guru – Pt. Shri Girijashankar Tripathi ji, making the festive occasion all the more special.

Durgesh had been hoping to have his Guru visit him on the show, but despite his efforts, it had not been possible. Understanding how much this meant to him, the Sa Re Ga Ma Pa team went the extra mile to bring his Guru to the sets, giving him a pleasant surprise. During their interaction with Pt. Shri Girijashankar Tripathi ji, the judges enquired about his family’s background and learnt that Durgesh hails from Mau, a small town in Uttar Pradesh, where his family owns a small piece of agricultural land and earns their livelihood through farming. His Guru also revealed that the family does not have a television at home to watch Durgesh perform on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa.

Moved by this revelation, Kumar Sanu immediately stepped forward with a thoughtful gesture, promising to gift a television to Durgesh’s family that very day so they could watch him perform on the show. As Kumar Sanu said, “A television will be sent to your home from my side today itself, so that your mother and father can sit together at home and watch your performances on the show.”

The Diwali special episode will also bring together the judges and contestants for a grand musical celebration. From special performances and exciting jugalbandis to festive surprises and entertaining moments with host Shreyas Talpade, the episode promises an evening filled with music, laughter and heartfelt emotions.

Through moments that celebrate the bonds, blessings and encouragement that shape an artist’s journey, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa 2026 continues to bring alive the true spirit of ‘Hindustan Ka Sangeetsthan’.
