Delhi IGI Airport Cargo Transshipment Hub: A gateway for Indore’s pharma industry to global market
Indore September 10, 2019 Delhi airport (IATA Code DEL), India’s busiest and largest airport, has recently launched and operationalised dedicated Transshipment Excellence Centre (TEC) at IGI Airport (IGIA) in line with guidelines of National Air Cargo Policy Outline 2016 of Government of India and made its strong footprint in the air cargo supply chain creating a new gateway for the movement of transhipment cargo across the globe.
Madhya Pradesh, being India’s largest pharmaceutical manufacturing state and Indore having state’s largest pharmaceuticals manufacturing hub in the region like Pithampur SEZ, Dewas, Mandideep, Malanpur, etc. it is well-timed opportunity that pharmaceutical as well as other cargo can expeditiously be moved to the global market via Delhi airport.
The transshipment centre of DEL Cargo will also ensure smooth and fast re-connect of air cargo routed through IGIA for all sectors in a most efficient manner through a secure channel at the airport. This initiative of setting up of dedicated Transshipment Centre at Delhi Airport has also been well appreciated by air cargo community such as airlines, freight forwarders, cargo handling operators & logistics industry.
