Abhishek Banerjee Looks Intense as Compounder in Mirzapur: The Movie Poster, Co-star Divyenndu Extends a Shoutout to his “Better Half”
Mirzapur: The Movie is easily one of the most-anticipated releases coming up. The explosive teaser of the film was released on Thursday, offering a window into the film adaptation of the popular crime drama series. The film marks the return of Abhishek Banerjee as the memorable and intense Compounder, and the makers recently treated the audience with an intriguing poster of the actor, who looks as razor sharp as the ustra in his hands!
Shortly after the makers dropped the poster, Munna Tripathi aka Divyenndu was quick to extend a huge shoutout to Banerjee, who plays his right hand in the series and the upcoming film. The actor playfully described Banerjee as his “better half 😅😅😅🔥🔥🔥” and Abhishek Banerjee complemented the energy by reacting with, “Swami ❤️❤️🤣🤣🤣” – indicating that the hit on-screen male duo share a crackling yet engaging off-screen chemistry just as they do on-screen as Munna Tripathi and Compounder.
The bond between Abhishek and Divyenndu goes beyond the big screens, right back to their college days at Delhi University’s Kirori Mal College. From then to now, Banerjee and Divyenndu have come a long way to establish themselves as dependable actors. And currently, the audience is mighty eager to see their camaraderie on-screen and how they complement each other in Mirzapur: The Movie.
The film is directed by Gurmeet Singh, who also directed seasons two and three of the series, and written by Puneet Krishna, who created the original show. It is produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under Excel Entertainment. The film is slated to release in theatres on September 4
