Bombay HC Gives Mrs India Inc A Reason To Celebrate
Mumbai, 1st October 2024: In a major relief, Bombay High Court rules in favour of Mrs. India Inc and its proprietor Mohini Sharma, as it moves a temporary injunction against one of the major defectors.
Earlier this year, Mrs India Inc, a Bombay-based national pageant for married women, has approached the high court against breach of contract by its former contestant. Mohini Sharma had appealed that the breach of contract had affected the flow of business and has impacted the brand image of the pageant.
In its decision on Friday, the Bombay High Court accepted merit in the case and allowed a temporary injunction restricting the contestant from participating in any national or international beauty pageants until a final resolution was passed. The court is yet to provide the date for the next hearing.
“We’ve been pursuing the case aggressively and we are positive that just like the court saw merit to grant an injuction, the final verdict will also be in favour,” said Mohini Sharma, proprietor Mrs. India Inc. The pageant is preparing for its 5th edition to be held in Jaipur between October 23-27.
