PNB holds Mega Credit Outreach Programme in Delhi
Delhi, November 1, 2021: In a bid to reach out to customers and address their credit needs, a Mega Customer Credit Outreach Programme was organized by the lead Bank – Punjab National Bank at Wazirpur Industrial Area, Delhi.
The credit outreach Programme was inaugurated by Chief Guest Ms. Cheshta Yadav – District Magistrate (North-West District) Delhi. The program was attended by Shri Ashish Kumar – SDM (HQ) North- West Delhi, Shri K. Meenakshisundram – General Manager of PNB Delhi Zone, Shri Shyam Sunder Narang – Chief Regional Manager of IOB, Shri Anil Ahluwalia – Dy Circle Head North Delhi, Shri Rajinder Choudhary – AGM SLBC Delhi, executives from Public Sector & Private Sector banks and a large number of customers.
While recognizing the efforts of all the banks during the Covid-19 pandemic, Ms. Cheshta Yadav appreciated the step taken by the banks to reach out to customers for their credit needs as well.
Shri Ashish Kumar emphasized that Banks should give top priority to financial benefits for the poor under various Government sponsored schemes, with particular focus on the recently launched Pradhan Mantri Formalisation of Micro food processing Enterprises (PMFME)
Shri K. Meenakshisundram said that in a bid to boost the credit off-take during the economic slowdown, credit outreach programs are organized at several districts in the country, including 11 in Delhi. Such programs would contribute to economic growth and must be continued even after the campaign period.
On this occasion, participating Public and Private Sector Banks distributed sanction letters of around Rs 54.64 crore to 415 customers. Punjab National Bank (North Delhi) distributed sanction letters of Rs 24.00 crore to 144 customers.
While extending a vote of thanks, Shri Anil Gupta – LDM North West District, appreciated all the participants for making the Credit Outreach Program a great success.
