Harsh Rajput turns action hero for Nazar
Actor Harsh Rajput is not new to stunts and has impressed the viewers time and again with his performance on the show. Playing the character of Ansh Rathore who is a Daavansh – half daayan and half human on StarPlus’ Nazar, he has to pull off some complex action sequences. This time, the makers decided to take the action a notch higher where in an interesting turn of events, Ansh will be seen fighting the daayan Mohana (played by Monalisa).
For the most anticipated supernatural battle, Harsh had to perform some dangerous action-sequences on the show. He revealed, “It was my childhood dream to become an action hero and finally I am able to live that dream through Nazar.
The true title holder of ‘action-hero’, Akshay Kumar has been a huge inspiration to me not only as an actor but also for his effortless and excellent performance of stunts without any body doubles. It is remarkable that he performs his own stunts and this encouraged me to come out of my comfort zone and try my hand at performing stunts and action sequences.
For an upcoming sequence, you will see Ansh performing never-seen-before, top-notch action sequences to win the supernatural fight over daayan. For the sequence, I have closely watched Akshay Kumar’s movies like ‘Khiladi 420’ and ‘Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi’ to be able to pull off the dangerous stunts required for the sequence.
Since the scene required a very different technique and had to be shot in a single take, I had to hang on to the harness for 4 long hours and complete the shot. The sequence also required me to do front flips, back flips, floor rolling and punches on the face. As challenging as it was, I am very grateful that to be able to do this action sequence because it is very rare that an actor gets an opportunity to do something this adventurous on a show.
I am a huge fan of the supernatural genre as it opens doors to try something new and exciting instead of the quintessential Saas-bahu drama and for a short period of time, people can escape from reality. I hope audiences enjoy watching the sequence as much as I enjoyed shooting for it. ”
