Actress anushka kaushik to pay tribute to bappi lahiri with “kaisi hai yeh shaam” at dahihandi celebration
Talented actress Anushka Kaushik, who will soon be seen in The Mushrooms, is all set to celebrate the magic of the retro era as she pays tribute to legendary music maestro Bappi Lahiri at a special Dahihandi celebration. The actress will take the stage in front of nearly 2,000 people and present a special retro-style performance on the brand-new retro song “Kaisi Hai Ye Shaam Aaj Ki”, making the evening a memorable musical tribute to the golden era of music.
The performance comes at an exciting time for Anushka, who is gearing up for the song launch of her upcoming film The Mushrooms, presented by Lasaki Mediaworks and directed by Srija Barua Nalawade. The actress will perform to the film’s song “Kaisi Hai Ye Shaam Aaj Ki” alongside her co-star Abhijeet Nalawade, bringing a distinct retro flavour to the stage.
The tribute also holds a special significance for Anushka. Bappi Lahiri’s final devotional project in September 2021 remains a part of his musical legacy, and five years later, Anushka is getting an opportunity to pay her own tribute to the legendary composer and singer through music and performance.
Speaking about the tribute, Anushka Kaushik said, “Bappi Da’s music has a very special place in all our hearts. His songs were not just music, they became memories for so many of us. I feel truly honoured to pay tribute to him through my performance. I want to bring the energy, colour and spirit of the retro era to the stage and hopefully make everyone sing along and celebrate his music with me. Performing in front of such a large crowd makes it even more special.”
With the Dahihandi celebrations bringing together thousands of people, Anushka and Abhijeet’s performance promises to add a touch of nostalgia, music and old-school glamour to the festivities. Their presentation of “Kaisi Hai Ye Shaam Aaj Ki” will also give audiences a first glimpse into the musical world of The Mushrooms ahead of its song launch.
For Anushka, the evening is more than just a performance. It is a chance to celebrate music, memories and the enduring legacy of an artist whose sound continues to live on across generations.
