Author Workshop on Guide to Getting Published Held at IIM Indore

IIM Indore’s Learning Centre conducted an Author Workshop on Guide to Getting Published on August 02, 2018. The trainers for the workshop were Ms. Sangeeta Menon, Publishing Relationship Manager, Emerald Group Publishing (India) Pvt Ltd and Ms. DishaLakhanpal, Regional Marketing Manager, Emerald Group Publishing (India) Pvt Ltd. Ms. Sangeeta has over 13 years of experience in the Scholarly Publishing Industry. Prior to joining Emerald, she worked with leading publishers like Taylor & Francis (Editor, South Asia), Elsevier (Publisher, Journals) and Wiley (Publishing Manager). Ms. Disha has more than 9 years of experience in the Publishing industry. Prior to joining Emerald, she was with Taylor & Francis in various capacities where in her last position she was responsible for the Routledge India Originals books programme.

The workshop focused on research publishing in journals. The speakers also discussed about Research Landscape and Editor Black Box, chosing the right journal, structuring and submission of the papers and publishing process. They further shared publication ethics, rankings and impact, dissemination and promotion.

The workshop was attended by 50 participants from IIM Indore and around 10 external participants from NMIMS, Sage University, SAIMS and The Infantry School Mhow.
