Manasi and Parthiv Venture into Venice

National award winner Manasi Parekh and musical sensation Parthiv Gohil make the most of their Venice trip, combining business with pleasure. The couple was seen trotting through the cobbled streets of Venice and posing on red carpets in the same breath.

The 5-day trip was packed with business meetings, photoshoots, red carpet appearances and the couple managed to sneak it some ‘alone time’ amidst a packed schedule. They were seen hopping in and out of Gondolas and making a few pit-stops at famous cathedrals in their fineries.

The hurricane trip was planned to launch three international films at the 83rd Venice Film Festival where Manasi also spoke at a panel with many international film personalities about films influencing and sometimes even shaping popular culture.

The first film to go on floors is Purple America, an adaptation of award-winning American author Rick Moody’s acclaimed novel. The second one is Nanda Devi, a high-concept international mystery thriller set against the Himalayas while the third project, Laxman, is an inspiring story of a young boy, fuelled by his love for drinking milk turns caring for abandoned cows into a movement.

Speaking about the trip Manasi said, “This was such a whirlwind but it felt like a second honeymoon. Venice is a very romantic city and it felt exhilarating for me to stand next to Parthiv and take our work to the next stage. The gondola rides in gowns also felt straight out of a fairy tale. I’m happy that I got to write my own”.

Parthiv added, “Work is our love language. We are both workaholics and we realized the only way we can make our marriage thrive is by working together. Infact that is where we spend most of our time together orelse im on some stage and Manasi is at a film set. On a serious note, we feel at this juncture in our career we should work towards impacting the industry and expanding it, creating more jobs. Our international films are a step in that direction”.

Both Manasi and Parthiv wear multiple hats in the entertainment business, while Manasi is an actor and Parthiv is a singer and performer they run a production house which boasts of award winning and super hit Gujarati features like Kutch Express and Laalo.
