Vikram Solar Brings Together Indore’s Renewable Energy Players at ‘PowerConnect 2026’

Indore: Vikram Solar, one of India’s leading solar PV module manufacturers, successfully hosted the second edition of PowerConnect 2026 in Indore, an exclusive executive networking and knowledge-sharing forum. The event brought together more than 140 industry stakeholders from across Indore, including representatives from EPC companies, Independent Power Producers (IPPs), Commercial & Industrial (C&I) enterprises, project developers, financial institutions, and other key stakeholders.
The forum served as a collaborative platform to discuss the evolving renewable energy landscape in Indore, with conversations centered on opportunities under the PM-KUSUM scheme, the rapid growth of the C&I solar segment, the increasing role of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and the adoption of advanced solar technologies to support India’s clean energy transition.

During the event, Vikram Solar showcased its latest N-Type solar module technologies, expanding manufacturing capabilities, and integrated solar-plus-storage solutions, reinforcing its commitment to delivering high efficiency. These future-ready energy solutions address the evolving needs of the market by anchoring deep-rooted supply chain resilience, highlighted by the company’s recent roadmap to establish a massive 9 GW solar cell capacity by FY27 and expand into a 12 GW wafer and ingot manufacturing facility by FY29–30.

Madhya Pradesh is emerging as a key growth market in India’s renewable energy landscape, with the state moving beyond individual solar pump adoption towards large-scale feeder solarisation and C&I-led solar deployment. With around 61 GW of solar potential and nearly 6 GW of installed solar capacity as of March 2026, the state is witnessing a significant pipeline of new opportunities. The proposed 3.3 GW solar procurement under the KUSUM/Surya Mitra framework, and an estimated 3-5 GW feeder-solarisation opportunity, underline the scale of the next phase of growth. The investment momentum is further reflected in SECI’s proposed ₹2,500 crore phased renewable-energy investment in Madhya Pradesh, including a 200 MW solar project and 1,000 MWh battery-storage project.

Speaking at the event, Vikram Solar’s leadership highlighted that the next phase of India’s energy transition will be driven by strong industry partnerships, technology and execution.
