Yash Technologies Partners With Muskaan Dreams; To Provide Government Schools With ‘Digital Shiksha’ across India

Indore, September 2021: Yash Technologies and Muskaan Dreams have started a joint initiative called ‘Digital Shiksha’ that enables digital learning opportunities for children in government schools by providing teachers with the proper training and technology. The focus of the program is to build the capacity of teachers to effectively use technology inside the classroom and for virtual teaching, thus enabling every child the opportunity to prepare for a rapidly evolving future.

Digital Shiksha will help bridge the digital divide in government schools with an easy solution for teachers. A WhatsApp Interactive Chatbot will connect with them and provide need-based digital skills, training modules on the effective use of technology to teach students, multiple use cases of Smart TV and tablets, grade-wise content, and on-call/field support. This will help teachers keep pace with the changing world.

The program is starting from the Indore district on a pilot basis and it will scale across multiple districts and states in the next 3 years to enable & integrate ICT into education as per National Education Policy 2021.

The Program was recently launched in the presence of Mr. Dharmendra Jain (CFO & Head HR, Yash Technologies), Mr. Venkatesh Sarvasiddhi (Senior Head, Digital Skills & Innovation at NSDC India), Mr. Usman Khan (Nodal Officer training & Partnerships, Rajya Shiksha Kendra, School education dept Bhopal), Abhishek Dubey (Founder, Muskaan Dreams) and other government officials, teachers, team Muskaan Dreams and yash technologies.

The long-term goal of the initiative is to empower One Million teachers across India with digital skills, thus enabling digital learning & skills development of students at a large scale.

Abhishek Dubey, Founder of Muskaan Dreams, explains why Digital Shiksha is different from other programs, ‘During COVID times, we all realized that just online lectures wouldn’t work; moreover, we would need a blended approach to achieve a meaningful & sustainable impact. Keeping the same thought process in mind, we came up with this program where the teachers are provided with all the necessary resources within the classrooms and parallelly train them by field visits every week. We ensure that our teachers are enabled enough to continue the classes irrespective of the situation.’

Mr Dharmendra Jain, CFO & Head HR, YASH Technologies, expressed, “YASH Technologies has been working towards creating a lasting, positive impact through its CSR initiatives with education being one of the key focus areas. Digital Shiksha is an extension of our flagship CSR programme ‘Educate India,’ which aims to promote the importance of education amongst children and the community at large. We believe such initiatives will empower teachers and make our children “future-ready” by building their digital skills and provide them access to the entire ecosystem of digital educational tools.”

The Digital Shiksha training modules include zoom, YouTube, MS office, Google, the internet, and other helpful small-sized videos specially curated for the teacher’s needs. This will help teachers teach students by leveraging technology in schools and virtually because further blended learning is essential to make students future-ready.

Teachers will receive a digital certificate after completing each module. The best teachers will receive a digital learning lab for their students while also being awarded as a Digital Saathi Teacher during the closing of an event every year.
